Although the name might suggest otherwise, with Aufhebung we are dealing with a gem from the land of soft accents. The fact that their latest album “Luchtbegrafenis” was mixed by Tim de Gieter (Doodseskader/ex-Amera) is a seal of approval in itself. Drawing inspiration from post-rock and doom, but also from noise rock, hardcore, and progressive music, these influences are forged into a heavy sound full of crushing contrasts, disruptive rhythms, and relentless noise.
