The Nijmegen trio Bismut is an instrumental powerhouse that has been blurring all boundaries between doom, stoner, heavy psych, progressive rock, and hard rock since 2016. Their idiosyncratic mix is simultaneously funky, heavy, psychedelic, and downright strange. Call it progressive doom, instrumental death boogie, or simply Bismut – truly fitting categories probably don’t exist, as we have experienced quite often at Into the Void. One thing is certain: during a Bismut show, you can count on a bizarre, immersive trip full of riffs, grooves, and unexpected twists. Weird, wonderful, and ridiculously heavy.
